Your personal information will be used to provide you with the specific transaction that you applied for or services requested in the application you submitted.
BPI does not provide personal information to advertisers or sponsors and normally does not accept sponsorship or advertising in relation to the products and services we create. On the rare occasion we do allow sponsorship or advertising BPI may share aggregate information about its members and customers — not individual data — with sponsors, potential sponsors, advertisers and other parties to help them better understand BPI customers and their interests.
Personal information collected relates to the following categories of individuals:
- Prospects, customer contacts, subscribers and users in respect of our services and websites.
- Delegates, sponsors, exhibitors, moderators and speakers at our events.
- Authors of content published on our websites.
- Contacts of our service providers and business partners.

BPI uses the term ‘meeting’ to describe any event, workshop, conference, forum, webinar, consultation or activity we host.
How we collect and process your data
Online Ticket Purchase
When you purchase a ticket to one of our meetings, either online or by speaking to one of our representatives, all or part of the following information is collected:
First name, last name, email address (professional or personal), company name, job title, associated registrations (members of group bookings), transactional data (ticket type and transaction value), Transaction information including payment method, payment method information (such as credit or debit card number or bank account information), marketing preference opt-out (for the company) and opt-in (for 3rd party data sharing) and various (non-compulsory) profiling pieces of information such as field of expertise or interest.

We use different digital platforms to deliver virtual events. These platforms allow you to interact with other attendees or contributors either by direct message or by posting on public forum, accessible by all participants. You are responsible for all personal data you share on the platform.
Referral Marketing Programme
We utilise third-party software to allow you to refer others to our services. When you choose the email option, we will only process the referee’s email address to allow you to email your contact using the platform.

Cookies and Log Files
The company might utilise cookie-based web tracking systems. Cookies are small text files that are placed on your device when you browse websites or click on marketing emails sent by the company.

Hubspot, Hivebrite, Google analytics, Adestra (upland software), Facebook, Linkedin, Twitter and Microsoft Bing.
Most of these tracking systems report on aggregated anonymous data which the company utilises to optimise its promotional efforts and usability of the website.
Non-anonymous personal data is collected in 2 ways:
Emails. When an email is sent through Hubspot or Adestra, a unique identifier is included and allows the company to know which individual engage with emails (opens and clicks).
If the company uses a content management system. When a user identifies himself/herself on the websites, (by filling a form or engaging with the chatbot), his/her browsing history originating from the same IP address is recorded and stored against the contact record in the CRM.

Other Data Collection Instances
Personal data is collected on a small scale when you engage with our production team (as a potential speaker), our sales team (in the context of the negotiation of a sale), our HR team (as a potential candidate to a job position), our marketing team (as a potential media partner or vendor) event attendance and use of event mobile apps.

Sensitive Personal Information

Automated Decision-Making and Profiling
For the purpose of optimising its marketing efforts, the company utilises software and solutions to automate some activities. Each party irrevocably agrees that the courts of England & Wales shall have exclusive jurisdiction to settle any dispute or claim (including non-contractual disputes or claims) arising out of or in connection with this agreement or its subject matter or formation.
